Texas Native Plant Week - October

The Texas Native Plant Week social media campaign was originally created in 2022 by Laura Zárate, in her previous role as community outreach board member and Facebook co-admin for the Hill Country Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas (NPSOT).  With growing participation, it will continue to be grounded in the issues of most concern for NPSOT leaders as an educational outreach tool to further the NPSOT mission to promote the "conservation, research and utilization of the native plants and plant habitats of Texas through education, outreach and example."

Curated Reading & Resources Lists

The Plantas y Gente Plants & People Reading lists are offered as educational outreach tools to celebrate the historic and unbreakable bond between plants and all people, especially BIPOC communities.

They are meant to help inform and broaden conservation and environmental justice conversations, by sharing untold or undertold stories and research findings.
